My only real complaint is that the STD angle was interesting but the murder seemed to be wrapped up amazingly easily.too easily. I noticed another reviewer didn't appreciate how the show never talked about condom use, but considering it was 1979, it was amazing they talked about STDs at all-let alone condoms. But, it is very positive because it was one of the earliest shows to talk about sexually transmitted diseases. This is a preachy social issue episode-and these are usually not among the best. At the same time, Quincy and Monahan (who is as dumb as ever in this one) work on the murder to determine who is responsible. Through the course of the show, Quincy learns that there is a penicillin-resistant STD and he is volunteered by Asten to assist the health department in tracking down the infected. Compare AT&T TV, fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Philo, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, and Xfinity Instant TV to find the best service to watch Quincy, M.E. television has been, for some fans, their only access to 'live' performance: as occasional acts on variety shows (e.g., The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show). Soon, in a locker room following a pro football game, a guy has a stroke and dies. The show begins with a woman being stabbed to death down a dark alley. However, the show also has many detours and crimes-and, in some ways, they tend to soften the impact of the STD angle. Are we seriously to believe that her car remained in that spot for the 8+ hours she worked without being towed? Not a big deal, but obvious and stupid mistakes like this make me wonder if anyone on the production team was paying attention to detail or doing any type of quality control review.Although this episode is complicated and a bit preachy, it is a decent show and talks about the dangers of STDs-in this case, penicillin-resistant gonorrhea. The assumption here is that she is finishing work for the day and going home, but her car was clearly parked directly over the yellow hazard "No Parking" lines where we also see two large signs that say "No Parking - Patient Drop Off Only". 1 - Jury Duty 2 - The Last of Leadbottom 3. Another minor issue I have is the goof in the opening scene where the nurse is in the parking lot going to her car. ever, ranked from best to worst by thousands of votes from fans of the show. My main complaint for this episode is that there really is no mystery here as we see the identity of the rapist right in the beginning, and then the focus is on gathering evidence against him and the attack on Carol. These scenes and when the nurse is attacked in the beginning of the episode are definitely not for the faint of heart. 'Quincy M.E' TV episodes (incomplete list). The highlight for me was the spectacular performance by guest star Adrienne Barbeau in her portrayal of a strong, independent woman who falls victim to the serial rapist and is shattered afterward but then must pick up the pieces and move forward in making sure that her attacker is brought to justice. A Small Circle of Friends (TV Episode 1979) cast and crew credits, including actors, actresses, directors, writers and more. This is the last episode of the second season of Quincy and it is a pretty intense one. Following her attack, Quincy must work diligently to collect the evidence in the proper manner to ensure that it can be used in securing a conviction against DeReatis. Quincy has an intense confrontation with DeReatis who becomes infuriated and seeks out another victim, this time Quincy's friend Carol Bowen. The police believe this is the latest crime of a serial rapist and they have a prime suspect, Carl DeReatis (Luke Askew), who they bring in for questioning but must release due to lack of evidence. An autopsy leads Quincy to a stand-alone clinic where an under-qualified doctor, covering for another M.D. Through the carelessness of the hospital staff, all of the evidence that could be used to bring the rapist to justice is either destroyed or contaminated making Quincy furious. With Jack Klugman, Garry Walberg, John S. Quincy (Jack Klugman) and Carol Bowen (Adrienne Barbeau), a rape counselor, are called to the hospital but the victim dies just before they arrive. Let Me Light The Way begins with a nurse being followed from the hospital parking lot back to her apartment by a man who severely beats and rapes her.
